Living Room/Kitchen Transformation- Patterson Home

Who doesn’t love a good transformation story? I know I do! This is the story of the Pattersons. Renee and Brian are making this their forever home, and she wanted it to be amazing since they plan on staying. If you’re going to be somewhere forever, you might as well make it what you want! She had me update the decor in her living room and kitchen with eat-in area. This is what the living room looked like before:

There is not much natural light and no windows so it’s hard to capture great after photos. They definitely needed some light added in here! I added two lamps for that. Both are from Kirklands, and again, hard to capture great photos but it made a huge difference in the room.

Even if you have carpet flooring, it’s still a great idea to have a rug to add that cozy factor and make it really feel like a space with a purpose. I found the rug at Tuesday Morning and pictures do not do it justice. It’s even more beautiful in person.

I moved her couches a bit and we moved the TV out of the corner and onto the larger wall. TV stand, shelf, and side table are from Kirklands.

Now onto the kitchen. This was the before:

Funny story about the bar stools! I had originally found these cuties at Tuesday Morning and was so excited over them. Well……image

She called to tell me they weren’t gonna work because her husband couldn’t fit his butt in them 😂 So back to the store they went! I ended up finding these adorable stools from Wayfair at a STEAL of a price! They come in multiple colors and they really needed a pop of color in there! Love how they look in here with the espresso cabinets.

Added a rug, new wall decor and some new counter decor. I still have to make the valance. These are the afters:

And just for fun, here are some side by side before and afters for your viewing pleasure!
