Client Reveal- Bedroom Update

This bedroom makeover makes me BEYOND giddy inside! The rug! The bedspread! The bedside tables! Everything came together so beautifully. This client was going through an organization phase (man I need to get in that phase myself!) and their bedroom was feeling dark and cluttered.

We lightened the wall color with a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams paint in the color ‘Water Chesnut’. It’s a gorgeous creamy ivory color.

Before I get too much further and you notice the odd man out, the left bedside wall decor is missing because I have to purchase the matching pieces this coming week and add them in. The wood/metal wall pieces are from Hobby Lobby and the nearest store only had 2 (there are 2 pieces hanging together for each side of bed). So I think you can still get the picture even with the one side missing for now 😉 image

The bedside tables are one of my favorite parts of this room! They were a very dark brown until I painted them using a gray chalk paint and dark wax. image

The vintage dresser also came from Rosewood and she painted it for me, which was what inspired me to match the bedside tables to it. The wooden wall art above it is from Hobby Lobby and it’s hard to capture in photos but the wood peeking through has just the right hint of orange that ties in with the amazing rug. image

This rug is beyond heavenly. The colors and the pattern are so dreamy I wanted so badly to keep it for myself! I found it at Tuesday Morning as well. image

The settee was from a local discount store called Bourbon City Bargains. They offer great furniture at discounted prices! I did chalk paint the legs, as they were black when I purchased it. The French style pin board was from Hobby Lobby and I added some pages from vintage books. Pillows are from Tuesday Morning.

The mirror we kept, but what was once a very dark brown, now offers a beautiful pop of blue, which echoes the rug color. You guessed it! More chalk paint 🙂

Lastly, the bed linens. Comforter and bedskirt from Wayfair, pillows from Tuesday Morning and Homegoods. They match the rug perfectly!
