With its colorful, lacy foliage, Nandina has become a favorite of mine! Being an evergreen, drought tolerant and slow growing shrub, many people use this easy care shrub in their landscaping. A special tip: I break some of the stems off in the fall and winter and place them in the pots that once held my summer plants. It doesn’t hurt the plants and they make beautiful arrangements with their red foilage! The photo shows where I put some water in canning jars and placed the Nandina clippings in a nice box to make a pretty arrangement. Enjoy this spectacular plant year round!
